Muscat: Omani singer Nadeem Al Balushi is set to bring together Bollywood melodies and English hits at Musical Fiesta 2026, joining rising Indian girl group W.i.S.H. for an evening of music in Muscat on November 6.
The concert will take place at the Grand Hall of Al Falaj Hotel, featuring a mix of musical styles and performances aimed at bringing together music lovers from different backgrounds.
“I will be singing mostly Bollywood numbers and will be mixing in some English songs as well,” Al Balushi told Times of Oman.
Born and raised in Muscat, Al Balushi has built a following among Omanis and expatriates through his versatility as a vocalist and keyboard player. He performs in five languages — Arabic, Hindi, English, Punjabi and Baluchi — allowing him to connect with audiences from diverse cultural backgrounds.
His musical journey began at the age of 10, when he started playing the keyboard at school programmes. He later formed a band with six other artists, taking the lead as its vocalist and keyboard player. Over the years, he performed at numerous wedding celebrations and private events with the band before embarking on a career as a one-man performer.
Al Balushi has also shared the stage with international artists from India, Pakistan and Tanzania, including Indian singer Bali Bharambhat, Sukhbir and comedian Asrani, as well as Pakistani performers Asif Mehdi and Shana Shakeel, and Tanzanian artists Bushoke and MBdog.
He was also part of the musical performances at the Asian Beach Games in 2010.
In 2015, he released his first international album, For All, through India’s Venus Music Company.
While music remains a passion, Al Balushi works for an international bank. He continues to pursue his ambition of making a mark in Bollywood, hoping to take his music to a wider audience.
Musical Fiesta 2026 will also feature W.i.S.H., an emerging Indian all-girl pop group making its first live appearance in Oman. The group comprises four members — Ri, Sim, Zo and Suchi — and takes its name from Willpower, Inspiration, Strength and Hope.
Formed by Dreampop Entertainment and managed by The Hello Group in India, W.i.S.H. is signed to Sony Music India. The group made its debut on March 1, 2024, with the single “Lazeez”, followed by its eight-track debut album Sweetburn.
Blending pop, R&B and soul, the group combines catchy melodies and strong harmonies with lyrics centred on empowerment and self-expression. Its music and performances have helped it build a growing following in India and beyond.
The group aims to uplift and empower the next generation through music, sisterhood and self-expression.
Organised by Olive Events, the concert will also feature music sets supported by DJ Shazee, adding to an evening that promises a blend of Bollywood favourites, international hits and contemporary Indian pop.
