
Muscat: The Ministry of Economy organismned the fourth annual meeting of the Oman Vision 2040 implementation follow-up offices today in Muscat, under the theme "Communication and Integration." This initiative reflects the Ministry's commitment to empowering and supporting these offices, enhancing communication, and fostering a supportive environment for the exchange of expertise.
The meeting aimed to connect the roles of the Vision offices and clarify their contribution to achieving the priorities of the Eleventh Five-Year Development Plan (2026-2030), while also promoting a culture of collaborative work towards achieving sustainable national impact.
The opening ceremony was sponsored by His Excellency Dr. Khamis bin Saif Al Jabri, Minister of Economy, and attended by representatives of the Vision offices in government units and other stakeholders.
His Excellency Dr. Munther bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Head of the Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Unit at the Ministry of Economy, emphasized that achieving national objectives requires a practical shift from coordinating plans to a comprehensive planning approach.
He noted that moving from the individual focus of each office to the integration of a comprehensive national system is the fundamental path to achieving sustainable developmental impact.
In his address, His Excellency explained that the Vision Offices operate within a shared national objective, where roles and responsibilities are clearly defined, and information flows smoothly to integrate institutional expertise and build greater resilience in the face of changes.
Al Busaidi emphasized the need to solidify the offices' excellence by transferring knowledge and disseminating success stories across various government sectors to minimize duplication of efforts and efficiently direct resources towards national goals.
The meeting included a detailed review of the implementation status and updates of the 2026 Vision Offices Support Program across four main strategic tracks. The Administrative Organization track focused on reviewing the organizational structures of the Vision Offices and developing a unified model for operational procedures. The Competencies and Capabilities track explored the feasibility of implementing a specialized program to build and develop the capabilities of the offices' human resources. The Communication and Integration track involved organizing an integrated meeting for employees of the offices monitoring the implementation of Oman Vision 2040, under the theme "Our Communication is One." Finally, the Continuous Improvement track focused on updating the Vision Offices' operational guidelines to serve as a practical reference for all institutions.
The meeting highlighted the experiences and initiatives of Vision Offices across various government entities through presentations showcasing best practices and initiatives, facilitating knowledge sharing among the different offices.
A specialized dialogue session titled "From Today's Reality to Future Horizons" was held, discussing gaps and expanding developmental impact. Presentations were also given on the communication program for Oman Vision 2040 and the efforts of the Implementation Support Directorate and the Ministry's Program Development Department.
The meeting concluded with an interactive session between office representatives, program supervisors, and executive leaders to discuss mechanisms for enhancing collaboration and ensuring the offices' readiness for the upcoming implementation phases.
