
Muscat: The Consumer Protection Authority (CPA) has seized 1,236 non-compliant school products and supplies in Muscat Governorate for displaying images and symbols deemed non-compliant with applicable regulations, including skull imagery.
The seized items included 463 school bags, 166 notebooks, 158 stickers, 130 rulers and 109 pencils, in addition to various other school supplies.
The CPA said the seizure was carried out as part of its ongoing inspection campaigns to monitor products available in the local market and enhance consumer safety.
The authority confirmed that the prescribed legal procedures were taken and the seized products were placed in custody in accordance with applicable regulations.
