Oman-Philippines forum to explore investment opportunities in key sectors

Muscat: The third edition of Oman-Philippines 3rd Strategic Majlis Forumwill will begin in Manila on Sunday (26 July 2026).

The forum will see the participation of senior government officials, representatives of private sector establishments and specialists in the field. It will explore means of expanding bilateral cooperation in a manner that generates new opportunities for the two countries’ strategic partnership.

The forum will focus on investment opportunities in the sectors of tourism, technology, logistics, agriculture and fisheries. It will serve as a platform to promote dialogue, develop strategic cooperation and identify practical areas for partnership between the two countries.

Oman’s delegation to the forum will be led by Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister. It will include Dr. Mahad bin Said Ba’Owain, Minister of Labour, Munir bin Ali Al Muniri, Deputy Chairman of Oman Investment Authority for Operations, Eng. Nasser bin Said Al Muniri, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Republic of the Philippines, and representatives of public and private sector establishments.

The forum elaborates on three main domains: Economic ties, diplomatic relations and innovation.

It seeks to consolidate economic ties by exploring opportunities for developing trade exchange, attracting investments and encouraging joint projects in priority sectors.

In the diplomatic domain, the forum stresses the two countries’ commitment to constructive dialogue and coordination about regional and international issues of common interest.

The forum will also focus on promoting innovation by developing stronger cooperation in modern production sectors, including technology, energy, agriculture and fisheries, logistics and transport.
