
Muscat: The Ministry of Energy and Minerals will organise a 13-day event titled “Energy and minerals exhibition and media forum for sectors of energy and minerals 2026” in the Wilayat of Salalah, Governorate of Dhofar, from 25 July 2026.
The opening ceremony will be held under the auspices of HH Sayyid Marwan bin Turki Al Said, Governor of Dhofar.
The event is in pursuance of the Ministry’s efforts to enhance communication with society, business partners and the media, with the prime objective of highlighting the role of the vital sector in supporting the national economy, achieving in-country value (ICV) and sustainable opportunities for investment to back pillars of future development in the Sultanate of Oman.
The event will take place in Ateen Square in the Wilayat of Salalah on the sidelines of Dhofar Khareef (monsoon) season programmes. It aims to offer interactive knowledge and showcase educational experiences in the interest of members of the public who will get an opportunity to learn about the history of oil and the contribution of sources of traditional and renewable energy and minerals to daily life.
The event will also highlight the significance of the oil and energy sector to the national economy, sustainable development and investment.
The exhibition comprises 7 basic interactive pavilions, titled "100 years of oil production in Oman"; "Energy in our lives"; "The future of energy"; "Omani minerals"; “Energy and minerals”; “Digital transition” and “Social responsibility”.
The exhibition also includes a wing for children that showcases educational experiences, interactive games and competitions.
A media forum to be held as part of the event will bring together an elite group of journalists, media professionals, content designers and corporate communications experts who will elaborate on topics related to the sectors of oil and gas, minerals, sustainability and zero neutrality, renewable energy and hydrogen and investment.
