Muscat: Oman Air on Wednesday celebrated a major milestone in its network expansion as it prepares to launch five new routes this month.
The airline will start direct flights to Singapore and Sochi on 2 July 2026, while Tashkent and its first direct Dubai-Salalah connection will begin on 3 July 2026. The airline also announced that its Abu Dhabi service will begin on 9 July 2026, which will bring its network up to 49 destinations.
Over the past 18 months, Oman Air has steadily strengthened its international footprint through a combination of new destinations and strategic partnerships. From joining the oneworld Alliance in June 2025 and launching services to Amsterdam, Rome and Taif, as well as charter flights to Hanoi and Moscow, Oman Air has remained focused on developing a route network that responds to changing travel demand while supporting Oman Vision 2040 by enhancing connectivity and facilitating tourism, trade and investment.
Con Korfiatis, Chief Executive Officer of Oman Air, said, "The launch of five new routes in a single month marks a defining moment for Oman Air. It reflects not only the pace of our transformation but also our ambition to connect Oman to more of the world than ever before. Every new destination we add not only strengthens our network but most importantly, brings more people into Oman."
