
Muscat: A new batch of Omani citizens who are holders of the General Education Diploma (GED) and the Post-GED diploma recently joined the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority. The recruits were admitted after passing a series of tests to assess their ability to perform the tasks and responsibilities assigned to the Authority.
The recruitment, which took place in coordination with the Ministry of Labour, was part of efforts aimed to provide employment opportunities for Omani nationals and to consolidate volume of human resources in different engineering, technical and administrative specializations.
The recruits will receive an integrated programme that will enable them to carry out their future tasks in accordance with the highest standards of efficiency, discipline and readiness.
The training programme is a step forward in supporting the recruits’ contribution to the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority’s system of services to society.
The recruitment of national human resources fits with the Authority’s ongoing plans to upgrade its readiness to achieve its mission aimed at protecting lives and property in a constant manner.
