MUSCAT: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has encouraged the public to subscribe to its official WhatsApp channel, reinforcing its commitment to direct communication and ensuring that important updates and information are delivered through a variety of digital platforms.
In a message shared with the public on X, the ROP said: “Because you are partners in the making of success, and it matters to us that the information reaches you through various means, we are pleased to invite you to join the channel of the Royal Oman Police via the WhatsApp platform.”
This service was introduced in response to public demand expressed through social media platforms and the Tajaob platform.
The new channel is expected to serve as an additional source for official announcements, public awareness messages, traffic updates, safety advisories and information on services provided by the Royal Oman Police.
Digital outreach
The initiative aligns with the force’s ongoing efforts to expand its digital outreach and improve accessibility to information for citizens and residents.
The Royal Oman Police has increasingly adopted digital platforms to engage with the public and provide a range of electronic services, including traffic, visa and civil status-related services.
Members of the public can join the official WhatsApp channel through the link shared by the ROP to receive updates directly on their mobile devices.
