Oman Hajj Mission participates in Grand Hajj Symposium in Jeddah

Jeddah: Oman Hajj Mission participated today in the 50th edition of the Grand Hajj Symposium, held in the city of Jeddah, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The symposium discussed the most prominent issues and themes related to developing the Hajj system and upgrading the services provided to pilgrims.

The participation of Oman Hajj Delegation in the symposium confirms the Sultanate of Oman's keenness to enhance cooperation and exchange expertise in everything that serves pilgrims and develops the Hajj work system.

The symposium addressed a number of working papers and specialized sessions in the fields of crowd management, the deployment of modern technologies, and humanitarian and organizational services. This is in addition to reviewing successful initiatives and experiences that contribute to providing a safe and facilitated spiritual journey for pilgrims.

Oman Hajj mission was represented at the symposium by Ahmed Saleh Al Rashdi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs and Head of the Mission. He delivered a speech during which he praised the advanced level witnessed by the Hajj system year after year, as well as the facilities and qualitative services provided by the competent authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which have contributed to enhancing the comfort and tranquility of pilgrims.

He also valued the level of existing cooperation and coordination between Omani Hajj Delegation and the relevant Saudi authorities, pointing out that this cooperation has contributed to facilitating various procedures and providing the best services to Omani pilgrims since their arrival in the Holy Lands.
