Bangkok--- The national hockey team of the Sultanate of Oman continued its strong performance in the Asian qualifiers for the 2026 Asian Games finals, securing a well-deserved 5–1 victory over Kazakhstan in the final match of the group stage. With this result, Oman clinched the top spot in Group 1 with a perfect record of 12 points, having suffered no losses.

The win reaffirmed the high technical readiness of the national team, which imposed its dominance from the outset thanks to tactical organization, defensive discipline, and attacking efficiency, extending its winning streak in the tournament.

With this victory, Oman will face Uzbekistan (runners-up of Group 2) this Thursday in the semi-final. The other semi-final will bring together Sri Lanka (winners of Group 2) and Indonesia (runners-up of Group 1). The winners of both matches will advance to the final, scheduled for Friday, 10 April while the losing teams will compete for third and fourth places.
