Schools and colleges to be closed in Oman, online classes to be held

Muscat: The Ministry of Education has announced a transition to distance learning and the activation of e-learning platforms for all public and private schools, universities, and colleges. This measure applies to all governorates across the Sultanate of Oman, with the exception of Dhofar and Al Wusta.

The decision will take effect from Tuesday, March 24, 2026, and remain in place until Thursday, March 26, 2026. This precautionary step has been taken due to the impact of a low-pressure weather system currently affecting several regions of the country.
