Muscat— Teams from the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority responded to multiple emergency calls between 12 noon and 10 pm, handling a total of 18 incidents across several governorates in the Sultanate of Oman.

Rescue operations led to the evacuation of 30 individuals from a house in Muscat Governorate and four others from homes in South Sharqiyah Governorate due to rising rainwater levels. All individuals were reported to be in good health.

Authorities also responded to 14 incidents involving people trapped in vehicles in valleys and water bodies. These operations resulted in the rescue of nine individuals, while two fatalities were recorded.

The Authority reaffirmed its full readiness to respond to emergencies around the clock. It urged citizens and residents to exercise caution, avoid crossing flooded valleys and waterways, and strictly follow official safety guidelines to protect lives and property.
