Qatar condemns Iranian attack on Salalah Port in Oman

Doha- The State of Qatar expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the Iranian drone attack targeting the port of Salalah in the Sultanate of Oman, which caused damage to several fuel tanks at the port. Qatar considered the attack a blatant act of aggression and a flagrant violation of international law and its principles.

In a statement today, the Foreign  Ministry   affirmed that targeting the Sultanate of Oman, following its tireless efforts to de-escalate tensions in the region, is an unacceptable attack on its role as a mediator and its efforts to promote calm. The attack constitutes a treacherous act and an affront to the rights of good neighborliness, as well as a dangerous escalation that undermines regional and international efforts aimed at strengthening security and stability.

The Ministry reiterated the State of Qatar's full solidarity with the Sultanate of Oman and its support for all measures taken by the Sultanate to preserve its sovereignty, security, and stability.
