Oman condemns attack on UAE Consulate in Iraqi Kurdistan

Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman has strongly condemned and denounced the attack that targeted the Consulate General of the United Arab Emirates in Iraqi Kurdistan, describing it as a violation of international laws and diplomatic norms that guarantee the protection of diplomatic missions and their premises.

In a statement issued today, the Foreign Ministry affirmed Oman’s solidarity with the United Arab Emirates and the measures it is taking to safeguard its diplomatic missions, as well as maintain security and stability.

The statement reiterated the Sultanate’s firm stance rejecting all forms of violence, regardless of their motives.
