Security and Safety Institution inks pact for its new administrative HQ

Muscat: In a move reflecting accelerated institutional growth and the expanding scope of its projects and services, the Security and Safety Institution has signed an agreement for the fit-out and execution of its new administrative headquarters at Oman Active Centre, marking the beginning of a new implementation phase that embodies the institution’s aspirations for a modern, flexible work environment aligned with administrative and technological expansion requirements.

The agreement was signed yesterday following the completion of technical and financial bid evaluations and the awarding of the project to a specialised executing company, officially signalling the commencement of the project’s implementation phase.

According to the agreement, the building is scheduled for delivery within a period not exceeding four months and is expected to be handed over before mid-year. The new headquarters represents a significant qualitative shift in the institution’s administrative journey in terms of infrastructure, workplace efficiency, and support for future growth requirements.

The building will be constructed in accordance with high-level engineering specifications, in line with the latest standards for administrative headquarters design, while carefully considering functional and technological aspects that align with the nature of the institution’s work and its rapid expansion in projects and services across the Sultanate of Oman.

The administrative headquarters will include main offices for the institution’s various units, in addition to advanced meeting rooms, all implemented in line with the institution’s new corporate identity launched in 2024, reinforcing its visual image and professional presence in both internal and external engagements.
The new site will also house several administrative departments and vital sections, along with multi-purpose halls designated for events, and modern training and lecture halls.

This reflects the institution’s strategic focus on capacity building, staff development, and the promotion of an integrated institutional work culture.

The building will be equipped with advanced modern technologies that enable the institution to keep pace with digital transformation, enhance administrative efficiency, and support the requirements of project expansion and service outreach across various governorates of the Sultanate.

This step comes at a pivotal stage in the Security and Safety Institution’s journey, amid growing responsibilities and diversified fields of operation. The new administrative headquarters serves as a cornerstone for supporting institutional performance sustainability and enhancing readiness to implement programs and initiatives with greater efficiency, in line with the aspirations of the upcoming phase.

The new headquarters is expected to contribute to improving the work environment, strengthening coordination among administrative units, and achieving greater integration in service delivery, thereby reinforcing the position of the Security and Safety Institution as one of the leading national institutions in its field.
