Tehran: President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian of the Islamic Republic of Iran today received Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister.
This took place within the context of Sayyid Badr’s official visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran.
During the meeting, Sayyid Badr conveyed greetings and best wishes of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to President Pezeshkian and the people of Iran.
For his part, the Iranian President asked Sayyid Badr to convey his heartfelt greetings and best wishes to His Majesty the Sultan and the Omani people.
The meeting emphasized the depth of the strong bilateral relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Islamic Republic of Iran, and ways to enhance them in various fields to serve the common interests of the two countries and strengthen the foundations of good neighborliness.
The meeting also touched on a number of regional issues related to security and stability. Both sides stressed the importance of promoting an atmosphere of trust and cooperation in the region and adopting diplomatic approaches as a principal path to address current challenges, which contributes to reducing tensions, preserving the sovereignty of states, and solidifying the foundations of regional peace.
The Iranian President expressed his country's appreciation for the constructive role played by the Sultanate of Oman in supporting efforts aimed at reaching balanced understandings that contribute to enhancing regional stability.
For his part, Sayyid Badr expressed his appreciation to President Pezeshkian and the Iranian leadership for their support of these efforts and the course of negotiations aimed at establishing peace and strengthening the pillars of security and stability in the region and the world.
