Muscat: The cultural programme of Muscat Nights was launched on Friday at the Oman Automobile Association and will continue until the end of January, offering a rich variety of theatrical performances, cultural activities, and art exhibitions.
The association’s grand theatre is hosting a series of theatrical productions by local theatre groups from across the Sultanate, including plays for children, comedic and social dramas, and silent performances that highlight societal issues through innovative artistic techniques. These performances aim to revitalise the theatrical movement and provide audiences with the opportunity to engage directly with local talent.
The programme also features cultural and interactive exhibitions across the association’s halls.
Key highlights include the Omani Personalities Pavilion, which presents an interactive visual display of the achievements of national figures using artificial intelligence and virtual reality technologies, and the Omani Encyclopedia Pavilion, which offers knowledge-based content for youth using creative methods such as infographics and short films.
Visitors can also enjoy visual arts exhibitions, featuring works in fine arts, Arabic calligraphy, live drawing, and interactive installation art. Special spaces for children provide educational art activities designed to nurture creativity and artistic skills.
In addition, the program includes cultural corners and library spaces, alongside platforms aimed at supporting knowledge dissemination and highlighting the role of cultural institutions in serving the community.
The Muscat Nights cultural events at the Oman Automobile Association underscore the importance of arts and culture in strengthening national identity, while offering an integrated experience that blends knowledge, creativity, and entertainment for audiences of all ages.
