Manah: The Royal Cars Exhibition, organized by the Oman Across Ages Museum in cooperation with the Royal Cars Museum, opened today at the Oman Across Ages Museum.
The event was held under the auspices of Sheikh Hilal bin Said Al Hajri, Governor of A’Dakhiliyah.
The exhibition provides an opportunity to learn about the history of royal vehicles and their national and historical value.
Eng. Al Yaqdhan Abdullah Al Harthy, Director General of the Oman Across Ages Museum, stated that the exhibition features a diverse collection of classic, sports, and luxury royal cars. This lends the exhibition a special national dimension due to the place these cars hold in the Omani memory.
He added that these cars were selected based on their historical value and rarity. He affirmed the Museum's commitment through this exhibition to provide an engaging and interactive knowledge experience that informs visitors about the historical context of these vehicles. He praised the cooperation between Oman Across Ages Museum and the Royal Cars Museum, which resulted in the organization of this exceptional exhibition.
Yasser Abdulaziz Al Farsi, Head of the Royal Cars Museum Department, said: "The organization of this exhibition at the Oman Across Ages Museum aims to introduce visitors to the diverse and rare cars housed at the Royal Cars Museum, some of which were custom-made with special specifications. Seven of these cars are participating in this exhibition, including a Morgan car manufactured in 1957."
By holding this exhibition for the first time, the Royal Cars Museum seeks to enable all members of society to view these cars up close and learn about their types and features by visiting the Oman Across Ages Museum. The exhibition displays some of the cars housed at the Royal Cars Museum at Al Barakah Palace.
The exhibition will run until 9 December, with visiting hours matching those of the Museum: from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM. The exhibition is expected to attract large numbers of visitors during the glorious National Day holiday.
