
Muscat: The Cybersecurity Awareness Campaign in the Civil Aviation Sector kicked off today as part of national efforts to enhance digital readiness and safeguard critical infrastructure.
The campaign aims to raise awareness of cyber risks and promote a culture of digital protection across the workplace.
The initiative also seeks to instill cybersecurity principles among the sector’s employees and encourage the adoption of safe practices that protect systems and data from the growing threats posed by today’s rapidly advancing technologies.
The campaign is implemented by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), in cooperation with the Directorate General of Airport Security, Oman Airports, national airlines, and ground service providers to reflect the sector’s institutional commitment to ensuring the safety and security of its digital systems.
The campaign focuses on educating employees and the public on how to prevent cyberattacks and handle data securely.
It also features lectures and workshops as part of a comprehensive three-day awareness programme on cybersecurity in the aviation sector.
Furthermore, the Civil Aviation Authority affirms that these efforts are part of its ongoing strategy to build a safe and sustainable digital environment, enhancing operational efficiency and supporting the goals of Oman Vision 2040 toward digital transformation and strengthened cybersecurity across all national sectors.
