Madayn floats tender for Madha Industrial City project

Muscat: The Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (Madayn) has officially announced the launch of a tender for the infrastructure and industrial complexes project in Madha Industrial City in the Wilayat of Madha, Musandam Governorate.

This industrial city represents a qualitative addition to Madayn's industrial cities system, offering diverse investment opportunities, competitive incentives, and advanced infrastructure that contributes to providing direct and indirect job opportunities for citizens and empowering entrepreneurs to launch innovative projects.

Engineer Saleh bin Salman Al-Abri, Director General of Facilities and Infrastructure at Madayn, said that the infrastructure and industrial complexes project in Madha Industrial City aims to fully develop the city, which covers an area of 359,414 square metres. The project includes the construction of internal roads, water, electricity, and sewage networks, among other facilities.

He said in a statement to the Oman News Agency that the project includes the implementation of six industrial spaces within the Madayn Entrepreneurial Complexes project in cooperation with the Public Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises Development.

He pointed out that since His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik had directed the establishment of an industrial city in Saih Al Wasat in the Wilayat of Madha during his visit to Musandam Governorate in January 2024. Madayn has since then begun preparing the general detailed plan for the industrial city, approving all final designs and consultancy studies such as soil investigation, traffic studies, and topographical studies, leading to the completion of the tender documents for the implementation of the infrastructure and industrial complexes project.

He explained that the establishment of Madha Industrial City aims to enhance economic growth, continue to provide services, complete infrastructure, support private sector activities, provide more job opportunities for citizens, and boost non-oil revenues for the national economy.

He emphasised that the city plays a significant role in distributing investments, and that securing infrastructure resources and supporting services—primarily electricity, water, road networks, and communications—is a key factor in ensuring the sustainability of industrial and agricultural growth in the industrial city and in creating an integrated and stable investment environment that supports economic diversification efforts and achieves the goals of Oman Vision 2040.
