Muscat: The Oman Society of Astronomy and Space has successfully observed and photographed Comet Lemon (C/2025 A6) from skies across the Sultanate of Oman, marking a rare celestial event considered among the most significant astronomical phenomena of 2025.
Ibrahim bin Mohammed Al Mahrouqi, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Oman Society of Astronomy and Space, clarified that this observation forms part of the Society's ongoing efforts to monitor and document notable astronomical occurrences.
He noted that the comet is projected to rank among the brightest this year, reaching an apparent magnitude of 4, which would render it visible through astronomical binoculars and potentially to the naked eye in areas with minimal light pollution.
