Meeting reviews ways to enhance higher education cooperation between Oman, UAE

Muscat: The Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation and the University of Al Ain in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) reviewed in Muscat today, ways to enhance joint cooperation in the fields of higher education, research, and innovation.

They also discussed opportunities for collaboration in programmatic and institutional accreditation, enhancing the quality of higher education, exchanging academic and research expertise between institutions, opportunities for jointly funded research, and cooperation in innovation and entrepreneurship.

This took place during a meeting between Dr. Rahma Ibrahim Al Mahrouqi, Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, and an official delegation from the University of Al Ain in the UAE, headed by Dr. Nooreddine Sobhi Atatreh, Deputy Chairman of the University's Board of Trustees.

The two sides also discussed means of exchanging expertise to enhance academic cooperation. They explored forming joint research teams aimed at developing innovative scientific projects that contribute to supporting national development and strengthening the positions of the two countries in the fields of research and innovation.
