Man arrested for hunting Arabian gazelle in nature reserve

Muscat: The Environment Authority, in cooperation with the Royal Oman Police (ROP), arrested an individual for illegally hunting an Arabian gazelle inside a designated nature reserve area.

Authorities confiscated a bag containing the remains of the gazelle, along with several hunting tools . The individual has been referred to the competent legal authorities for further legal action.

The Environment Authority reaffirmed its commitment to protecting Oman’s wildlife and preserving biodiversity, urging the public to report any violations that threaten the country’s natural heritage.
