Oman participates in GCC cybersecurity meeting in Kuwait

Kuwait: The Sultanate of Oman on Monday took part in the 4th meeting of the "GCC ministerial committee of cybersecurity authorities and centres" held in Kuwait.

Oman's delegation was led by Dr. Saleh Amir Al Kharousi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the State of Kuwait.

The meeting discussed various matters related to the GCC cybersecurity system and the executive plans of action . It also dealt with ways to enhance cooperation among GCC states in the field of cybersecurity, joint initiatives on enhancing digital protection and means to address growing cyber threats and develop digital infrastructure.

The meeting approved the executive plan of the GCC Cybersecurity Strategy (2024-2028), a framework for international cooperation among GCC countries in the field of cybersecurity and a mechanism for the governance of information-sharing via the "Cyber ​​Threat Information Sharing" platform.

During the meeting, the GCC Cybersecurity Podcast was launched and the minutes of the 4th meeting of the Cybersecurity Executive Committee were approved.
