Muscat: The main committee for the Traffic Safety Competition reviewed a number of topics related to the competition, including the nomination mechanism and criteria, the evaluation of projects, and the media plan for the fourth edition of the Traffic Safety Competition for 2025/2026.
The review took place during the committee's meeting today at the Directorate General of Traffic, chaired by Maj. Gen Abdullah Ali Al Harthy, Assistant Inspector General of Police and Customs for Operations and head of the committee. Members of the committee from various relevant government bodies were in attendance.
The organisation of this competition stems from the active role undertaken by government and private entities, as well as community members of all backgrounds, in promoting traffic awareness and a culture of road safety. This has a direct impact on the behavior of road users and contributes to reducing accidents.
