Oman Education: Second round registration for e-admission system begins today

Muscat: Registration for the e-admission system for the second round of sorting for the academic session 2016-2017 begins today.
The Higher Education Admission Centre (HEAC) announced starting registration on the e-admission system for the second and last sorting out for the academic year 2016/2017.
The second sorting out provides a good opportunity for students who failed to get seats at the first sorting out.
It also provides better choices for students who got seats, but are looking forward for better seats.
From today and until the end of business on Thursday, all students who registered earlier or have not registered can apply for the vacant and new programmes.
The results will be announced on September 1, 2016.
The number of vacant seats after the first sorting out for this year is about 121.
The HEAC announced them either because the number of applicants are below the capacity or some students did not accept the seats offered to them during the first sorting out.
The number of new programmes, eight in all included scholarships provided by BankMuscat, Oman India Fertiliser Company and Special Economic Zone Authority in Duqm.
More details and updates are available at www.heac.gov.om.
