HM the Sultan leaves Moscow

Moscow: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik left Moscow this evening after a two-day state visit to the Russian Federation.

His Majesty the Sultan was seen off at Vnukovo International Airport by Maxim Reshetnikov, Minister of Economic Development, some officials in Russia and members of the Omani embassy in the Moscow.

Upon his departure, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik sent a cable of thanks to President Vladimir Putin of the Russian Federation.

In the cable, His Majesty expressed his sincere appreciation for the warm welcome and hospitality.

His Majesty lauded the outcomes of his meeting with the Russian President, as it was an opportunity to enhance areas of cooperation, promote the advanced relations and opening new vistas for partnership and investment in a manner that serves the joint interests.

His Majesty the Sultan wished the President Putin success to achieve further aspirations of progress and prosperity for the Russian people.

His Majesty the Sultan was accompanied during the visit by a high-ranking official delegation that comprised HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs, Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, Gen. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nu’amani, Minister of the Royal Office, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, Dr. Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Private Office, Abdussalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, Chairman of Oman Investment Authority, Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, Jamal bin Hassan Al Mosawi, Secretary General of the National Museum and Hamoud bin Salim Al Tuwaih, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Russian Federation.
