Over 30 arrested for violating labour, foreign residency laws in Oman

Muscat: More than 30 foreigners have been arrested for violating labor and foreign residency laws in Muscat Governorate, said the Royal Oman Police (ROP).

ROP said in a statement: "Muscat Governorate Police Command, in cooperation with the Police Special Task force Command, conducted an inspection campaign in the Wilayat of Bausher and apprehended 36 expatriates violating labour and foreign residency laws, including eighteen individuals of Bangladeshi nationality, five of Pakistani nationality, four of Indian nationality, four others of Egyptian nationality, three of Yemeni nationality, one of Iraqi nationality, and one of Jordanian nationality. Legal procedures are being completed."
