Muscat: Oman Meteorological Department has warned swimmers and sailors to be cautious as waves along Oman coasts may become stronger and higher from this evening until Friday night.

The sea state forecast predicts rough sea along the Arabian Sea coasts with maximum wave heights of 4.25 meters while it will be slight to moderate along the rest of Oman coasts with maximum wave height of 1.5 meters.
“Wave height forecast on the Musandam coast averages between 2 to 2.5 meters from Thursday evening until tomorrow night,” Oman Meteorological Department tweeted in its official twitter handle.
