Muscat: A delegation of businesswomen from the Republic of Uzbekistan will visit Oman next Tuesday to discuss economic cooperation and business partnerships with their Omani counterparts.
The delegation, led by Nodira Shah Tursunova, Vice President of the Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce, includes around 20 Uzbek businesswomen representing various sectors such as real estate, design, electrical engineering, textiles, private education, medicine, and import-export.
H.E. Abdulsalam Hatamov, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Oman, stated that the visit aims to strengthen the relations between Oman and Uzbekistan in various fields, particularly economic and cultural ones. The Uzbekistan Embassy, in cooperation with the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, has prepared a program for the visit that includes meetings with officials from both the public and private sectors in Oman and visits to several commercial companies.
H.E. the Ambassador added in a statement to the Oman News Agency that the program also includes workshops to be conducted by Uzbek embroidery artisans in Muscat, as well as a fashion show organized by representatives from the textile and design industries.
He pointed out that the program also features a business forum between the Uzbek and Omani businesswomen, where they will discuss economic and investment cooperation. Last year, the two sides signed a cooperation agreement between their respective chambers of commerce, leading to the exchange of delegations and the organization of business forums.
