Muscat--- His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik today issued Royal Decree No. 17/2025 on the promulgation of the Omani Nationality Law. The decree reads as follows:
Article (1) stipulates that provisions of the Omani Nationality Law attached to this decree shall be enforced.
Article (2) states that the Minister of Interior shall issue the Executive Regulation and decisions necessary for the implementation of the provisions of the attached law. Until such time, the existing regulations and decisions shall continue to be enforced in matters not specifically provided for in the attached law, without prejudice to its provisions.
Article (3) cancels Royal Decree No. 38/2014 on the Omani Nationality Law. It also cancels all that contradicts the attached law or contravenes its provisions.
Article (4) says that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced from the day following its date of publishing.
