LuLu Oman launched 'India Utsav' 2025 to coincide with the 76th Republic Day of India as well as to highlight the close ties between Oman and India. The week-long festival, which will be held from January 26 to Feb 2, 2025, will showcase the rich and diverse culture, heritage, traditions and regional flavors of India.
The event was inaugurated at Lulu Hypermarket at Darsait by H.E. Amit Narang, the Ambassador of India to the Sultanate of Oman, in the presence of a host of officials from the Indian community, LuLu dignitaries and customers.
From fresh food and grocery to lifestyle and fashion, the ‘India Utsav’ festival will offer customers a unique opportunity to experience Indian extravaganza in every section. There will also be amazing promotions and offers on a wide range of Indian products on display. Selected brands of Home appliances and home furnishing are also featured as part of this promotion.
The festival will enable customers to savor the real taste of India's finest dishes and enjoy a wonderful culinary experience. Shoppers can experience the genuine flavors of India in a variety of dishes that speak for themselves in terms of the authenticity and the rich history of India. There will be special stalls for customers to savor a selection of melt-in-the-mouth Indian sweets and snacks.
In his speech during the event, H.E. Amit Narang lauded LuLu’s initiative in organizing the Indian festival in Oman. “It is a very special occasion for every Indian citizen to be part of this event and LuLu has taken a major step in not only promoting Indian products in Oman but also enhancing trade and cultural relations between the two countries,” he added.
Speaking during the press conference, Shabeer K A, Regional Director – Lulu Hypermarkets, Oman, stated, “We are glad to organize the ‘India Utsav 2025’ to showcase the beauty and diversity of Indian culture. It is also an opportunity for us to foster the cultural ties between Oman and India and strengthen and enrich the longstanding bilateral relations between the two countries. We have flown in many exclusive Indian products from our network of food processing and logistics centers across India as part of the festival," he added.
The festival being held across the outlets of Lulu Hypermarkets in Oman, will showcase a wide range of food products, fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as meat and seafood. Various food items, including organic fruits, vegetables, millets, and other plant-based protein products that are suitable for vegans will also be available. A huge range of authentic specialties, desserts, and street food delicacies will be offered in the hot food section.
Shoppers can grab trendy fashion garments as well as a unique collection of designer wear suitable for festivals and weddings for a complete Indian culture experience. In order to enhance the overall shopping experience, customers will be offered samples of a variety of Indian cuisine throughout the festival period.
