Oman signs sgreement with Saudi ministry of Hajj and Umrah

Riyadh: Represented by the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs, the Sultanate of Oman today signed an agreement on arrangements for the year 1446 AH Hajj (pilgrimage) season.

The agreement, aimed to enhance cooperation between the two sides to serve pilgrims from Oman, was inked during the Hajj Conference and Exhibition organized by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in Saudi Arabia as part of preparations for this year's Hajj season.

The agreement was signed by Dr. Mohammed Said Al Maamari, Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs, and Dr. Tawfiq Fawzan Al-Rabiah, who acted on behalf of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The provisions of the agreement include the following: · 14,000 pilgrims will go for Hajj from Oman.

· The data of pilgrims from Oman will be processed via “Nusuk platform” before the 14th of the month of Shaaban 1446 AH.

· The air arrival and departure of the pilgrims from Oman to Saudi Arabia will be via "King Abdulaziz International Airport" in Jeddah and "Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman International Airport" in Medina.

· The arrival and departure of pilgrims travelling by land will be via the border checkpoints of Al Rub’ al-Khali and Al Bat’ha.

The agreement also stressed the need to abide by all instructions regulating Hajj affairs in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as stated in “Nusuk” platform, including pilgrims’ meeting all travel requirements and timings. It also requires the authorities concerned in Saudi Arabia to implement the service packages as per the agreed standards and costs.
