With heads held high, Red Warriors return home

Muscat: Oman football delegation returned home from Kuwait after finishing runner-up in the 26th Gulf Cup final on Saturday.

Oman lost to Bahrain 2-1 in the summit clash in Kuwait.

The Red Warriors were received at the Muscat International Airport by Basil bin Ahmed Al Rawas, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, to a warm welcome on Sunday.

Oman delegation was headed by Sheikh Salem bin Saeed Al Wahaibi, Oman Football Association [OFA] President and included players, head coach Rasheed Jaber, coaching staff and media members.

His Excellency expressed his thanks and appreciation for the great efforts made by the national team players, the technical and administrative staff, which resulted in achieving positive results and the second place in the tournament.
