Foreign Minister meets Iranian officials

Tehran: Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister met today in Tehran with Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of the Parliament of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed bilateral relations, notably the existing parliamentary cooperation between the two countries’ Shura councils. They also discussed regional and international matters of mutual interest.

The two sides underscored the importance of bilateral cooperation to enhance security and stability in the region.

Furthermore, the Foreign Minister also met with Ali Akbar Ahmadian, the Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC).

This meeting touched on the bilateral cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and the Islamic Republic of Iran. Both sides exchanged views on developments in the regional and international arenas.

The two officials highlighted means of supporting channels of dialogue as a peaceful means to consolidate security and stability in the region.

The two meetings were attended by Sheikh Ahmed Hashel Al Maskari, Head of the GCC Department at the Foreign Ministry, Ibrahim Ahmed Al Maani, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Islamic Republic of Iran and several officials from both sides.
