Muscat: Oman Association for Consumer Protection (OACP) today held a symposium during which it reviewed the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in improving food security and providing innovative solutions to ensure the sustainability of food resources in the Sultanate of Oman.
The symposium, held in Muscat, stressed the need to integrate AI technologies in developing the agricultural sector and achieving sustainable development in the field of food security. The opening ceremony was held under the auspices of Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al Bakri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources for Agriculture.
The symposium focused on enhancing the awareness of consumers about artificial intelligence and its applications in enhancing food security. It also touched on the significance of AI strategies in augmenting agricultural production and ensuring the sustainability of food resources.
