A symbol of Italian excellence, the Amerigo Vespucci, known worldwide for its elegance and history, embodies the finest traditions of Italian shipbuilding and seafaring. This world tour, strongly supported by the Italian Minister of Defense, aims to provide valuable training for Officer Cadets while simultaneously promoting Italian excellence across the globe.
The ship embarked on this round-the-world voyage from Genoa on July 1, 2023, and is expected to continue its journey for approximately two years. This voyage serves as a testament to Italy's rich maritime heritage and its commitment to innovation, science and technological advancement.
The arrival of the Amerigo Vespucci at berth n.34 of the Port Sultan Qaboos is anticipated at 09:00 on January 8, 2025. The ship will be warmly welcomed by the Italian Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman, H.E. Pierluigi D’Elia, Admiral Enrico Credendino, Chief of the Italian Navy, and other distinguished guests from the Omani government and military.
