A dive into youth-led entrepreneurial projects in Dhofar

Muscat: Dhofar's Khareef season has catalyzed the growth of youth-led entrepreneurial projects. The projects supported by government agencies and private sector institutions, are contributing to the local economy, creating jobs and increasing individual incomes.

Among the models of these projects are:



1. Osara: An integrated tourist and entertainment site featuring recreational activities, cultural events, and dining options.
Majid bin Ali Al-Masahli, one of the founders of the project, said: "The idea of the project is to establish an integrated tourist and entertainment site on the beach of the Raysut area in the Wilayat of Salalah in the Dhofar Governorate, managed by a group of Omani youth, and represents an integrated tourist destination that includes various recreational and cultural activities and events and relaxation sessions, suitable for all age groups. "

2. Lamir Al-Maghsail: A recreational tourist site offering restaurants, cafes, boat rides, and children's activities.
 The founder of the "Lamir Al-Maghsail" website, Nader bin Bakhit Fadel, has a story with his project, which includes establishing a recreational tourist site and is being held for the third year in a row since its establishment in 2022 under youth management. It contains various restaurants and cafes and a space designated for children's games, in addition to providing pleasure boats to enjoy sea trips, with an artificial waterfall and beach seating designated for families.

3. Seda Park: A mobile food cart park with cultural, artistic, and entertainment features.

 Hamza bin Mohammed Al Ghassani, owner of the "Seda Park" website, said that the project includes a group of mobile carts that provide meals, drinks and related services, with the participation of a number of cafes and restaurants known locally and abroad.

4. Revel Park:
A square dedicated to mobile sales outlets, restaurants, cafes, and entertainment activities.

Muslim bin Abdul Salam Al Rawas, owner of the "Revel Park" site in Itin Plain in Salalah, said that the youth project implemented by "Sar" Events Company in its second edition includes a square dedicated to mobile sales outlets in local and international restaurant and cafe activities with 50 outlets in order to create an attractive entertainment and commercial destination that meets the needs of citizens, residents and visitors.

These projects are not only contributing to the local economy but also showcasing the innovative spirit and entrepreneurial skills of young Omanis. They demonstrate the potential for youth to play a significant role in the country's development, particularly in the tourism and hospitality sectors.
