Eid holidays: Ministry announces suspension of work at Central Wholesale Fish Market

Muscat: The Ministry of Agricultural, Fisheries and Water Resources (MAFWR) has announced the cessation of work at the Central Wholesale Fish Market during the Eid holiday period.

The ministry said in an announcement: “On the occasion of the blessed Eid Al-Adha, we would like to inform you that work at the Central Fish Wholesale Market will be suspended for four days during the Eid holiday period, starting from Sunday, 6/16/2024, until Wednesday, June 19, 2024, provided that work in the market will resume on Thursday. corresponding to June 20, 2024.

During this period, exporters can directly export fish species that are allowed to be exported by percentage, and prevent exports of prohibited species that include requirements for weight and value of fish in accordance with Ministerial Resolution No. (75/2019) that regulating the Sultanate of Oman exports of fish.
