Muscat: His Highness Sayyid Bilarab bin Haitham Al Said, Honorary President of Oman's Startups Programme, visited on Tuesday the Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) Development Authority, in the presence of Halima bint Rashid Al Zarei, Chairperson of the Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) Development Authority.
His Highness toured the various sections of the new building of the SMEs Development Authority, including the customers’ service centre and Riyada incubator which accommodates the SMEs and start-ups in various sectors such as renewable energy, communication and artificial intelligence technologies, consultations and talent management.
Riyada incubator makes available an appropriate environment for projects during their first years to increase their chances of success.
His Highness also became acquainted with the craft industries’ brand identity (Oman Crafts) and the outlet of the Omani Crafts House which is considered the platform for marketing the Omani crafts.
His Highness also watched a video presentation on the journey of customers at the customers’ service centre of the SMEs Development Authority.
His Highness also acquainted with the key digital services and the mechanisms for acquiring the opinion of entrepreneurs at media platforms and the efforts of the SMEs Development Authority in accelerating the digital transformation of its systems and services.
