Muscat: The National Centre for Statistics and Information will begin implementing the 40th session of the Consumer Confidence Survey for the fourth quarter of 2023 from tomorrow and will continue until 21 December.
The survey targets Omani citizens over the age of 18, and will include no less than 1,500 citizens from various governorates, taking into account the representation of males and females, different age groups and educational levels.
Data will also be collected by telephone from the Communications Centre of the National Centre for Statistics and Information.
The consumer confidence index is one of the important economic indicators that gives a clear picture of the economic situation of Omani families.
The survey aims to measure several factors that affect the Omani economy, including the financial condition of families, factors that negatively or positively affect the economy, future expectations of the economy, and the availability of job opportunities.
