Muscat: The Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation has launched the “We are Oman” award for the academic year 2023/2024 for students of higher education institutions and scholarship students.
The Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation launched the “We are Oman” award for the academic year 2023/2024 for students of higher education institutions and scholarship students as an important national project and an empowering and educational tool for students to support and guide them so that they can highlight their talents and invest them in effective ways in various scientific, societal, industrial, humanitarian and environmental fields.
The award launch ceremony was sponsored by His Excellency Dr. Khamis bin Saif Al Jabri, Head of the Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Unit, and in the presence of Her Excellency Dr. Rahma bint Ibrahim Al Mahrouqi, Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation.
Dr. Maryam bint Bilarab Al Nabhani, Director General of Private Universities and Colleges, said in the Ministry’s speech that the launch of the award for the academic year 2023/2024 for students and higher education institutions in the Sultanate of Oman comes as an affirmation of the supreme directives of His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik on the importance of the fundamental role of higher education institutions in creating conscious outcomes capable of dealing with the enormous and daily changes in contemporary life by strengthening national belonging, taking pride in national achievements, forming awareness of the components of the state, the government’s goals, and the Oman Vision 2040, and by adhering to the Omani identity and values, high morals, awareness of the values of citizenship, and enhancing awareness in all innovative, research, cultural, scientific, artistic, and other fields.
