AS I EMBARKED on crafting a short story, I discovered my mind relentlessly pursuing fresh ideas for uncharted paths and destinations. My thoughts yearned for novel words to weave into sentences, engaging in an inner poetic battle.
It was a delightful time, immersing myself in the art of composing something extraordinary.
The act of “writing” is a symphony of delight, I realized. Through writing, my fingers transformed into autonomous dancers, moving gracefully without the need for a choreographer. This realization compelled me to let them dance, to dance with abandon!
All ten fingers embarked on a grand stage. What, you might ask, is the stage for these ten performers? It is none other than the humble “keyboard.” But does this stage feature musical instruments like Bongo drums, Bassoon, Bugle, Drums, Cello, Flute, Cymbal, Banjo, Piccolo, and Piano? Who serves as the audience?
Well, the alphabet letters themselves are the instruments for these ten fingers to dance upon. Try typing “DA DO DI,” and you’ll witness how the fingers move in a rhythmic dance. Indeed, this movement can be aptly described as a dance.
Now, let’s attempt “WE WA WE.” Doesn’t it sound harmonious? The fingers weren’t just dancing; they were also creating pleasant sounds, while the lips sang, and the mind generated melodious thoughts. Remarkable!
Never before had I realised the extent of freedom these fingers enjoyed, gracefully embracing different letters for distinct expressions and tastes. Such liberation was unprecedented, truly incredible!
Most of the time, these ten fingers sway gracefully in their natural state, whether it’s country western, Latin, Lindy hop, Salsa, Bachata, Rumba, Bolero, Tango, Samba, Jive, polka, Do Chapi, or countless other dance styles.
These fingers performed with stunning skill, either independently or in harmony.
The beauty lay in their diversity, with each finger possessing its unique dance style.
The thumb had its distinct flair, the index stood its ground, the middle finger sought its own rhythm, the ring finger played to its audience, and the pinky finger followed its chosen path. Isn’t this diversity awe-inspiring?
These ten fingers also sang with various voices, encompassing Bass, Baritone, Tenor, Soprano, Alto, and Contralto.
These diverse voices, dance styles, and audiences enthrall everyone, momentarily whisking us away from the material world.
These fingers were born to think, to imagine, to dance, to sing, to create, to innovate, and to write. Never allow them to be severed. Safeguard them, for they are the most valuable tools in the modern world.
