Muscat: Two Emirati teenagers were killed and a third was injured in a car accident in Oman at dawn on Monday, reported The National newspaper in Abu Dhabi.
Abdulrahman Al Junaibi, 19, and Nayel Al Shamsi, 18, were returning home after spending the Eid holiday in Oman, according to a family friend.
Hamad Al Ameri, 17, was injured in the accident, on Salalah Road near Al Ghabah, in central Oman, and is currently in hospital.
A funeral was scheduled for Al Junaibi and Al Shamsi in Al Ain at the Mutawa mosque after Asr prayers on Monday. They will be laid to rest at the Al Mutawa cemetery shortly after.
Details of the accident that took their lives weren’t immediately available.
