Oman weather: Heavy rain falls in parts of Sultanate

Muscat: Heavy rain fell on some parts of Sultanate on Sunday, a weather enthusiast told the Times of Oman quoting the residents.
“Heavy rain fell in Ibra, Shammah place between Izki and Samail in the Dakhiliyah governorate and Wilayat of Al Qabil in the Sharqiyah area,” Bader Ali Al Baddaei, administrator of www.rthmc.net, a local Web-based forum that discusses weather in Oman told the Times of Oman.
Oman meteorological department has also predicted thunderstorm in some parts of Sultanate on Monday.
According to its weather forecast, places like Buraimi, Rustaq, Ibra, Samail, Bahla, Ibri, Nizwa, Suwiq, Mudhebi, Saiq, Yanqual, Qurayyat, Saham, Jabal_Shams, Al Khaburah, Al Hamra and Izki will witness thunderstorm on Monday.
According to a global meteorologist, there is a chance of light rain in Muscat on Thursday.
“There is a very small chance for rain around Thursday,” Jason Nicholls, a senior meteorologist from Accuweather.com said.
