Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik will patronise on Monday over the official opening of Oman Across Ages Museum in the Wilayat of Manah, the Governorate of A'Dakhiliyah.
The museum chronicles different historical eras in Oman. It narrates Oman’s geological transitions, comments the life of the early inhabitants and portrays the blessed Age of the Renaissance and the accomplishments made in different sectors. It also explores future of the country in a manner that reflects the people’s aspirations.
Oman Across the Ages Museum focuses on a narrative, audio-video interactive style that utilizes the latest technologies in this field. The aim is to realize an enjoyable, educational experience to inform and entertain the museum’s visitors. The museum houses a range of facilities designed to enrich the visitors’ knowledge and serve society.
The museum was established under the Royal orders of the late Sultan Qaboos bin Said bin Taimour, who laid the foundation stone of the project on 14 July 2015. The museum has been accorded great attention by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, so that it would serve as a high-profile epitome in the Omani cultural arena.
