More than 33,000 register for Hajj pilgrimage

Muscat: The Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs received 33,536 applications to perform the Hajj rituals for the 1444 AH season. Among them 29,930 were Omanis, and 3,606 were residents.

The applications were submitted through the electronic system and the registration ended on Sunday.

The Governorate of Al Dakhiliyah recorded the highest number of applications, followed by the Governorate of North Al Batinah, and the Governorate of Muscat.
