Muscat: The number of national support system accounts in the Sultanate of Oman increased by 35% and more than 400,000 smart water meters were installed until the end of 2022, said the Chairman of the Authority for Public Services Regulation (APSR).
Dr. Mansour Al-Hinai, Chairman of the Authority for Public Services Regulation ( APSR ) said during the annual media meeting of the Authority for Public Services Regulation Regulation to review what was implemented in 2022 and plans for 2023: “The number of national support system accounts increased by 35% to reach 108,000 registered accounts and more than 450,000 smart electricity meter were installed until the end of 2022, recording an increase of 84%.”
Dr. Al-Hinai also confirmed that more than 400,000 smart water meters were installed until the end of 2022, recording an increase of 24%, and the percentage of electricity subscribers’ accounts increased to 3.5%, and the number of water account subscribers increased to 5% during 2022.”
