1. Over 10 expats arrested for Labour Law violations in Muscat
More than 10 expats have been arrested in violation of the provisions of the Labour Law in Muscat Governorate on Wednesday, January 18, 2023.
A statement issued online by the Labour Ministry said:”The Ministry of Labour, represented by the General Directorate of Labour Welfare, carried out an inspection campaign on one of the travel and tourism offices, and arrested 14 workers found violating the provisions of the Labour Law. The legal measures are being taken against them.”
2. Muscat Nights set to begin
Muscat Nights activities will begin, under the patronage of His Excellency Sayyid Saud bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Governor of Muscat, starting Thursday, January 19, 2023, at 6:30 pm at the lake stage in Qurum Natural Park.
The opening ceremony is limited to invitees only, but the public will be able to visit the rest of the event sites.
3. Light rain begins in Muscat
The latest weather updates showed the start the accumulation of cloud over Muscat Governorate, and chances of scattered light rain until midnight.
The air bulletin issued by the General Directorate of Meteorology indicated that part of the Sultanate will witness fresh North Western wind tomorrow, with a relative drop in temperature and rising dust over deserts and open areas.
