ROP announces option for electronic transfer of vehicle ownership

The Royal Oman Police has announced the possibility of transferring a vehicle electronically from one institution to another, or between an individual and an institution through its website.

A statement issued online by the Directorate General of Traffic clarified the general conditions of the service. Transporting vehicles with a number plate for individuals will be applicable for private and commercial vehicles and motorcycles, while for companies and institutions it will apply for commercial vehicles only. The Directorate General of Traffic pointed out that the service is available through the Royal Oman Police website.
